your betsizing might have induced something as well 

when he doesn&#039;t bet the river there is a chance you might check back a weak 8x hand so it doesn&#039;t make sense for him to lead out the turn and then not the river if he had a value hand. I think at least some of time you will have a hand like 68s that you would call a bet with but probably not bet yourself

he has to put you on a marginal 1 pair hand to make this play and he has to expect you to be scared of the over/straight possibility 

I&#039;d expect him to have overs/some Ax hand he decided to turn into a bluff a lot</description>
