John you are ridiculous. I am def a profit player with over 2k BR and i have huge live cash game winnings in berlin. i didnt know either that ptr wasnt allowed while playing. and looking up the guy who hast just sucked out on you has in my opinion nothing to do with the etiquette. as u surely know, there are huge differences in the etiquette between playing live and online.

Look guys, you’re probably too young to know this, but there is another form of poker than the kind on the internet or on ESPN. It’s called live poker, and played face-to-face. There are generally accepted rules of conduct, called etiquette (look it up), and where you would very likely get your punk-asses kicked for cheating (see FTP rules), not to mention calling someone a “donkey/moron/fish/idiot” (get some original words at least). Besides, it’s not like any of you are making money anyway.

No Poker Website should be spying on it’s user’s surfing habits.

It’s clear Full Tilt has less integrity than it’s players when you hear this crap is going on. PokerStars once tracked websites visited as well but stopped this spying because their customers were disgusted when they found out about it.

Full Tilt customers need to express their disgust.

It constantly amazes me how much freedom people are willing to give up for a little security. Hitler set the parliament building on fire, blamed the communists and declared martial law with the populations consent.

It’s no different with 9/11 and terrorists. Freedoms are increasingly disappearing…

Strange, I’ve used PTR while playing for as long as I can remember and I have never gotten such an email. In fact, up until reading this I never knew it wasnt allowed. I guess they don’t do a very good job of screening for this. Either that or they have some sort of agenda about who they enforce their rules upon.

Invasion of privacy with the promise of security, you’re kidding yourself.

1. You could simply setup some type of IM on another machine

2. You can still run tracking software through another machine.

They give you a false sense of security and you just eat it up. Scary…

If you had bought hands from PTR then you deserve to have your funds confiscated, if not, surely you’re smart enough to not open a banned website while playing? their rules, like them or leave.
For those who don’t like that FTR track what you do, deal with it. It’s better that they can see what porn you are watching than that other players can be colluding and using cheat software.
