I definitely see what you&#039;re saying.  From my conversations with high stakes players though, it seems like only a modest part of their motivation is money (like 25%).  The rest is from an intensely competitive nature, the respect they receive, the lifestyle, etc.</description>

This comment is pretty far off. I think it&#039;s important to develop a base strategy, make some money, and then work on perfecting your game through challenges. 

After all, the best poker players got to where they are (nosebleeds) by grinding out dollars vs fish at the lower stakes. 

You need money to make money. 

Take maney.
